I bought this and NST cal-hypo tablets because my CYA is too high and too late/hot to drain/refill my pool in the heat of Phoenix. These tablets do not affect CYA although they do increase calcium markedly so be careful. My wife did not want to deal with liquid chlorine while I am away on business trips and these tablets and accompanying floater is perfect for the job. The floater seems well built and has a positive click when closed. Although Poolife says it can hold four pucks I think it can really hold up to five which would work for a full week. Very satisfied with the product and the shipping service.

I've used this floater with my NST tabs and all that happens is as the tabs dissolve and all the chunks come out and lay on the bottom of the pool. I don't see how this could possibly be made for this tablet. There's no way to adjust it and there's only one way to use it so I know it's not me. You need a much finer mess design if they want this to actually work. I definitely don't recommend this because you'll be mad that you have to vacuum your pool the next day after you put the tablet in this apparatus. I was hoping for something better. I have an above ground pool and only have one skimmer. Full life products are great this new skimmer is junk.
