Good for cleaning sand filter
Product not as strong as it used to be
I use the product to clean my pool filter. It is a 2 step process. I first wash the fingers with the product. Then I soak the filter in an acid solution over night. It seems to clean up very well.
When my wife and I bought this house it came with a Hayward E65 DE filter, knowing nothing about pools or filters at the time I did not think much of the pressure being so high, I figured it just needed to be regenerated every few days. A season later and a lot more educated on the subject, I tried a tip of soaking the DE net in a garbage can full of water with a bottle of Bioguard strip kwik mixed in. let it sit for 24 hours and now my filter runs at a consistent 14 psi. The net itself maybe has one more season in it (previous owners did not take very good care of anything so doubt they ever tried cleaning it, so might have been the first deep cleaning in over 7 years) Will be using this every season from now on.
I've been using this product for 19 years. It does what it is supposed to do. I appreciate the quick service and that the I needed was available.
