Product Dosage

Routine Maintenance (Weekly):

1 lb per 20,000 gallons of water.

Routine Maintenance (Every Other Week):

1 lb per 10,000 gallons of water.


Directions

Before Use:

  1. Check all pool equipment to be sure all are in working order.
  2. Backwash or clean filter following manufacturer's directions.
  3. Test pH and adjust to between 7.2 to 7.6
  4. In chlorinated pools, add a minimum 30 to 40 ppm stabilizer to reduce the effects of sunlight upon the chlorine residual. Do NOT add stabilizer to brominated pools.
  5. Test water for dissolved metals prior to product use. If any metals are present, add a stain inhibiting product to prevent deposition of metal stains on pool surfaces.
  6. When using other products as directed in conjunction with this product, always follow label directions of these products.

Application Methods:

When the maximum pool depth of the pool is less than 4 feet deep or when water is less than 65 degrees Fahenheit, pre-dissolve using Application Method B. For all other applications, use Application Method A.

Method A:

  1. Ensure pool circulation pump is operating. Continue to operate recirculation pump for 4 to 8 hours following product addition.

In pools with potentially bleachable surfaces, such as vinyl, paint, fiberglass, or colored plaster, brush the pool surface with a pool brush to ensure dissolution of the product. Never allow undissolved product to rest in contact with bleachable pool surfaces.

Method B:

  1. Ensure circulation pump is operating. Continue to operate recirculation pump for 4 to 8 hours following product addition.
  2. Dissolve this product outdoors using a clean plastic bucket.
  3. Fill bucket with water, then add product.
  4. Use a clean plastic or wooden spoon to stir.
  5. Never add more than 1 pound of this product to less than 3 gallons of cool water.
  6. Never add water to product.
  7. Add dissolving this product, pour the solution around the edge of the pool while operating circulation pump.
