I have had and maintained a pool for something like 27 years now. When my pool was opened this year we had an analysis that showed too much stabilizer. My pool company told me to used non-stabilized shock and 3 inch tabs. I could find shock locally but not tabs. BTW, these are also called NST Tabs. Police had them at a decent price and I bought two 20 lb tubs. These tabs seem harder, less chalky than all my previous tabs. Each tab lasts longer, five days or maybe more. I do like that. So far pool chlorine holds nicely and slowly the stabilizer levels are coming down. My local pool guy said that mine was high enough to cause chlorine lock, when the chlorine is there but it won’t work correctly due to over stability. So, these work well to sanitize and they do not affect my stabilizer levels it appears. And last longer. I am satisfied with these oool tabs!

I have always had a prob with my CYA levels getting super high from traditional tablets. I started using this last year (along with liquid chlorine) and I feel like my pool maintenance is a lot easier and the levels are a lot more consistent.
