Types of Spa Supplies Explained

Written By: poolgeek.com

Spa Supplies are all the products your spa needs to run at optimal performance, giving bathers clean, clear and comfortable water. These products include spa covers, cover lifters, filters, thermometers, aromatherapy, vacuums, and other accessories.

Spa Covers

Spa Cover

Spa Covers help shield your spa chlorine from the suns UV rays, which can break down chlorine for unsafe spa conditions. These solar covers also help your spa retain its heat throughout the day and night, saving you money by reducing heater run times. They can easily be rolled up for storage, and their plastic sheet construction will not retain water.

Spa Cover Lifters

Spa Cover Lifter

Spa Cover Lifters are designed to make removing and replacing your all-weather spa cover easy enough for one person, avoiding any back strain or inconvenience. These lifters are available in a wide range to fit into any budget, from simple hinges to those equipped with hydraulic struts for effortless use.

Spa Vacuums

Water Tech Grit Gitter

Spa Vacuums allow you to quickly clean your spa in just minutes, saving you hours of work each week scrubbing and vacuuming it by hand. These vacuums are extremely easy to use and collect all debris in built-in filter bag for true hassle-free performance.

Spa Thermometers

Pentair Sink or Float Thermometer

Spa Thermometers give you an accurate temperature reading of your spa water, allowing you to make the necessary adjustments to get the perfect level of heat in your spa. They are available in both floating and sinking types to suit your needs, and read in Fahrenheit and Celsius scales.

Spa Filters

Unicel C-4326 Spa Filter

Spa Filters are an essential part of a properly functioning spa, removing any waterborne particles that can affect water clarity and the overall health of the spa. They are available in sand, DE and cartridge types to fit your needs or budget. For more information on spa filters, please see our information page.

Spa Aromatherapy

Spazazz Green Tea Peony Crystals

Spa Aromatherapy is a perfect addition to any spa, filling the air with the pleasant fragrances of wildflowers, fruit and other herbs. These products not only help you relax, but many contain moisturizers to combat the dry skin extended soaking can cause.

Spa Accessories

Leisure Time Rubber Ducky

Spa Accessories include adapters, cleaning aids, lights, steps, and even a rubber ducky to keep you company. These items are not necessary, but certainly make life more fun and convenient for bathers. Spa steps, however, are an accessory every spa should have, helping to prevent slipping accidents.

When I test my spa pH with the HTH kit the test water went from yellow to blue with just a touch of soda. What does blue mean?

“Hello! Which HTH kit are you using? Are you referring to the Phenol Red that you added? I would suggest retesting the pH in your water again, to see if it turns the appropriate color. ”

Title: Phenol Red
“Yes, it was the phenol red that I tested my water with. Why is it blue instead of red? I have tried a number of times and made sure the test kit was clean. Cork”

Title: RE: Phenol Red
“Cork, are you using the HTH 3 Way Test Kit or the HTH 6 Way Test Kit? If we know which one you are using we can help you pinpoint the problem. Are you thoroughly rinsing the pH cell before testing the water? If you've ran another pH test before, the trace amounts of previous testing reagents could be causing the discoloration. ”
