I have used this product for 2 seasons now and my water has never been clearer. I have given up on chlorine shock completely. You can swim 15 minutes after using this product and you can never overdose the pool. There is no worry that you've used too much. I add weekly, bumping up the quantity any time my total chlorine is much higher than my free chlorine. It can also be used in the winter instead of chlorine tablets as a way to hold or lower your cyanuric acid. (Most chlorine tablets contain tons of "stabilizer" which build up in the water. Good idea to discontinue for a few months to give the water a break...) The one pound bags of Sun-Brite are OK; I prefer the 2.5 pound bottles when available.
