SpaGuard's Filter Cleaner & Degreaser provides spa owners with an easy way to maintain and extend their filters life, simply by applying this concentrated cleaner. Filter Cleaner & Degreaser can be used to soak filters overnight for deep cleaning or simply sprayed on for a much faster turnaround time to eliminate body oils and grease; either way you will dramatically increase your spas filtering capability while improving water circulation.
Dosage

Amount used will vary depending on size of filter and method used to clean the filter.

A unique mixture of chemicals to cut grease and grime.

Product Use

Use this product to clean your spa or hot tub filter. This product is compatible with bromine, chlorine, and ozone.


Directions

  1. Remove filter elements and remove excess debris with garden hose with a pressure nozzle.
  2. Spray this product directly onto the filter and allow to soak for 15 minutes.  Light brushing may be required for heavy oil accumulation.  As an alternative, place the cartridge in a solution of 1 part of this product mixed with 3 parts water.  Allow to soak for 1 hour.
  3. Rinse elemnets clean with a maximum garden hose pressure.
  4. If scale, crust or dicoloration remains, use rubber gloves and briefly brush or soak elements in a diluted acid solution to remove build-ups. (To prepare acid solution dilute SpaGuard pH Decreaser at the rate of 1 bottle per 5 gallons water in a clean plastic bucket.  Important: Always add pH Decreaser to water never add water to pH Decreaser.) Thoroughly flush acid solution from filter elements with a garden hose.
  5. Reassemble filter and resume normal operation
  6. Spa and hot tub filters should be cleaned every 4 to 6 weeks using SpaGuard Filter Cleaner & Degreaser.
