New Pools or Pool Openings:
- To prevent discoloration of the pool water due to trace amounts of iron, copper, manganese and other heavy metals, add 3 oz. for each 1,000 gallons of pool water.
- This addition should be made before any other chemicals are added.
- Recirculate the water to ensure uniform distribution, before proceeding with other chemical additions.
Discolored Water:
- Your Simplicity dealer can test the pool water and determine what is causing the discoloration of the pool water.
- If the pool water has less than 1 ppm of the minerals, add 3 oz. of Super Metal Control per 1,000 gallons of pool water.
- For mineral amounts greater than 1 ppm, add 1 qt. of Super Metal Control per 10,000 gallons of water.
- Apply directly to the pool with the pump running.
- Maximum recommended dose is 3 quarts per 10,000 gallons.
- If the pool has been shocked wait 24 to 48 hours before applying this product to obtain maximum effectiveness.
- Product should be added 7 days prior to super chlorination to minimize staining potential.
- Test the pH of the water after addition and adjust to 7.2 - 7.6, as necessary.
- Recirculate the water to ensure uniform distribution.
