SeaKlear Spa Sanitizing Granules are a balanced form of chlorine that provides effective sanitization of water. This product is easy to apply, just add directly to the spa water. It dissolves quickly so spa use may resume shortly after application. Spa Sanitizing Granules contains 55.5% available chlorine. This product helps to establish and maintain chlorine levels.
Dosage

Each level teaspoon (0.17 oz) of this product will provide approximately 1.4 ppm, available chlorine in 500 gallons of water.

    

Start-Up:  6 teaspoons per 500 gallons or until free available chlorine reaches 4-5 ppm.

Regular Use:  9 teaspoons per 500 gallons after each use.

Product Use

Use this product as a fast dissolving form of chlorine for your hot tub. This product works great when combined with a chlorine free shock and a natural clarifier.


Directions

Broadcast the product evenly over a wide area in the deepest part of the spa with water circulating.

   

Spa and hot tub use:

  1. Each level teaspoon (0.17 oz) of this product will provide approximately 1.4 ppm, available chlorine in 500 gallons of water. 
  2. Using and appropriate test kit, test and adjust the water to the following values: pH 7.2-7.8, total alkalinity 60-100 ppm, calcium hardness 200 ppm minimum. 
  3. Maintain these conditions for proper spa and hot tub operation by frequent testing with a test kit. 
  4. Do not allow cyanuric acid level to exceed 150 ppm. 
  5. It is recommended that spa and hot tubs be drained every 30-90 days.  More often under heavy use. 
  6. Consult manufacturers recommendations concerning the compatibility of chlorine sanitizers with their equipment. 
  7. Some oil, lotions, fragrances and cleaners may cause foaming or cloudy water and may react with chlorine sanitizers to reduce their efficiency.

   

Start Up:

  1. Turn on the circulation system and ensure that it is operating properly.
  2. Add 6 teaspoons of this product for each 500 gallons of water.

    

Check the free available chlorine and if below 4-5 ppm repeat as needed.  Re-entry into treated spa is prohibited above levels of 3 ppm of chlorine.

  

Regular Use:

  1. Turn on the circulation system and ensure that it is operating properly. 
  2. Scatter approximately 3 teaspoons per 500 gallons of this product over the surface of water. 
  3. Always use a clean dry spoon. 
  4. Test the FAC and add additional product, if necessary, to attain 4-5 ppm. 
  5. Maintain 1-3 ppm FAC while the spa or hot tub is in use. 
  6. After each use, shock treat with 9 teaspoons per 500 gallons water to control odors and algae. 
  7. Repeat as needed. 
  8. Re-entry into treated spas is prohibited above levels of 3 ppm of chlorine.
