Fine fountain jets may block when Leak Sealer is applied. If jets cannot be removed, do not use this product.
- Set the filter to bypass or recirculate. If neither setting is available, remove the filter grids or cartridge from the filter before treatment. Turn the heater off.
- In spas and hot tubs, use 10 oz. per 500 gallons of water.
- To seal a leak in a spa or hot tub surface:
- Turn off circulation pump.
- Add Leak Sealer directly into the water.
- Locate the area of the leak and add the product in that area; otherwise distribute the product evenly.
- After 30 minutes, turn on. Leave pump running for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Mark the water level, and check in 24 hours. Larger spas and hot tub may require a second application.
- Once Leak Sealer has taken effect, return the filter setting to normal and resume filtration. "Backwash" or clean the filter within 48 hours of treatment.
- Spas and hot tubs should be drained and filled with fresh water after treatment.
