Omni Super Algae Destroyer will free your pool of unsightly algae growth. This product is for use in white plaster pools. It is not recommended for use in vinyl lined, fiberglass, or colored plaster pools (for these types see Omni Algae Destroyer). This product was developed to treat heavy, medium, or light algae growth. One 2 pound bottle is enough for treating medium to heavy algae in 10,000 gallons of pool water. Pre-Treatment Checklist
- Ensure all equipment is working properly.
- Backwash the filter system following manufacturers directions.
- Adjust pH to between 7.2-7.6.
- In chlorinated systems, add stabilizer to establish a minimum stabilizer level of 30-40 ppm to reduce the degradative effects of sunlight upon the chlorine residual.
- Check for metals and if present add a stain and scale inhibitor to prevent staining of pool surface due to metals.
- Adjust chlorine residual residual to 1-3 ppm.
- When using other products as outlined in directions for this product, always follow directions on those products
Directions: - Before using this product, shut off pump and brush all surface clinging algae.
- Wait 4 hours for the water to become stationary before product application.
- At night or when the pool is not in use, broadcast this product directly into the water in the areas of heaviest algae growth.
- Use 2 pounds per 10,000 gallons for medium to heavy algae growth and 1 pound per 10,000 gallons for light algae growth.
- 12 to 24 hours after chemical treatment, turn pump on and vacuum dead algae through the filter.
- Brush any remaining algae and clean/backwash filter.
- If algae is still visible, repeat treatment.
