Dosage
Cartridge Filters: 1 bottle diluted into 5 gallons of water. Sand Filters: 1 bottle diluted into 2-3 gallons of water for filters up to 2 feet in diameter, 2 bottles for larger filters. DE Filters: 1 bottle diluted into 5 gallons of water for filters up to 1 foot in diameter, 2 bottles for larger filters. Line Flush: 1 bottle poured into skimmer and circulated throughout lines.

Product Use
Use this product to remove any leftover algae, dirt, and other debris from your DE, sand, or cartridge filters, protecting them over the long winter months.

Directions
Cartridge Filters: - Add entire contents of bottle of Winterizing Filter Flush to 5 gallons of water in a clean plastic bucket and mix well.
- Remove cartridges from housing.
- Allow cartridges to soak, preferably overnight.
- Rinse clean and allow to dry.
- Store for the winter.
Sand Filter:
- Add contents of bottle to 2-3 gallons of water in a large clean plastic container and mix well.
- Add diluted solution to skimmer while backwashing to waste.
- Turn off pump when product is in the lines.
- Allow to stand overnight, backwash again, drain filter and lines, and then winterize.
However, if the filter is very dirty, pour the diluted solution directly into the filter and allow to stand overnight before backwashing. Backwash filter until effluent water is clear (no foam) and then winterize. Use 1 quart of HTH Winterizing Filter Flush for sand filters up to 2 feet in diameter or 2 quarts for larger filters.
DE Filters:
- Disassemble filter according to manufacturers instructions.
- Remove the elements from the filter, hose them off and soak them overnight in a solution comprising 1 quart of Winterizing Filter Flush in 5 gallons of water.
- Pour the solution into the filter housing and allow to soak overnight.
- The next day, rinse elements and filter housing well and reassemble.
- Winterize according to manufacturers instructions.
- Use 1 quart for DE filters up to 1 foot in diameter, and 2 quarts for larger filters.
Line Flush:
- Pour contents of bottle into skimmer.
- Turn pump on and allow to circulate into lines.
- Turn pump off and leave overnight.
- Backwash until effluent water is clean (no foam), drain lines and winterize.
