HTH Metal Control

Spa Dosage:  2 capfuls per 100 gallons per 1 ppm metals.

Pool Dosage:  1 quart per 10,000 gallons per 1 ppm metals.

HTH Metal Control is comprised of a blend of chemicals and acids that shield your pool from high levels of iron, manganese, copper, and other metals that cause stains, scale, and cloudy water.

Use this product as part of your routine pool and spa maintenance to combat dissolved metals from getting into your system.

Prevention of stains, scale, and cloudy water: add only when the chlorine level is below 1.0 ppm.  Do Not add when sunlight is shining directly on the pool or spa.  Before you use this product, you should test for the presence of metals with a suitable test kit, while keeping your pump running during treatment.

For Spa Use:

1. Add 2 capfuls per 100 gallons per 1 ppm metals. 
2. Do not add more than 6 capfuls per 100 gallons. 
3. Add directly to the water over any metal stains.

For Pool Use:

1. Add 1 quart per 10,000 gallons per 1 ppm metals. 
2. .Do not use more than 3 quarts per 10,000 gallons. 
3. Add directly to the water, over any metal stains. 
4. If water becomes temporarily cloudy, use HTH Clarifier as directed. 
5. If algae develops use HTH Super Algae Stop.

Removal of Fresh Stains:

1. Follow the above directions. 
2. Brush the stained area daily for 5 to 7 days. 
3. Repeat the treatment for large metal stains.
