Helping to Preserve the Earth

Pool Geek is “going Green” when it comes to shipping your stuff. By that we mean that your Pool Geek order might arrive in a “slightly experienced” box that OUR suppliers used to ship products to US in. In other words, your order might show up in a box with a BioGuard, Pool Frog or some other logo on it. But all the items you ordered from Pool Geek will still be safe and carefully packed inside.

What’s so “green” and environmentally-responsible about this? Plenty:

By re-using an existing box, we divert that container from the waste materials system (and a landfill) by keeping it working for American commerce.
As long as that box serves as a good package, it helps reduce the amount of pulp wood that needs to be cut, transported, and processed into paper. That helps save trees and energy.
Even if we were to re-cycle manufacturer boxes at our plant, it would still require energy, materials and work to break them down, re-formulate the materials, re-construct new boxes, and ship those boxes back to Pool Geek. All to have a nice, new box with the “Pool Geek” logo on it. Sure, we have Pool Geek boxes, but we prefer to use them only when we can’t “re-cycle” another box.
So… when your Pool Geek order shows up in an oddly-branded box, smile a little smile. You’re helping to save trees, energy and our dependence on foreign oil.
Your pool or spa may even stay cleaner because of it. And we hope our planet will stay a little bit greener, too.
