| GLB pH Up increases the pH level in swimming pool water. This product prevents costly corrosion damage to pool plumbing, equipment, and surfaces. Sanitizers work most efficiently when pH is kept in proper range. Therefore a properly balanced pool will require less sanitizer and less pool maintenance. Keeping your pool water balanced is an important step in getting the most out of and preserving the life of pool equipment. pH Up can be used with chlorine, bromine, ozone, biguanide sanitizers, and salt water pools. | |
Dosage
For each 10,000 gallons of water add GLB pH Up in the following amount: 1 pound when pH is below 6.6 3/4 pound when pH is between 6.6 and 7.0 1/2 pound when pH is between 7.0 and 7.2 If the pH value is continually low, the pool water should be tested for total alkalinity. If the total alkalinity is low, it should be corrected by adding GLB Alkalinity Up.

Directions
Maintenance of the proper pH of swimming pool water is second in importance only to proper disinfection. The most efficient and economical use of chlorine is obtained when the pH of the water is maintained at all times between the values of 7.2 and 7.8. Between these two levels, eye irritation will be reduced to a minimum and equipment life will be prolonged. When the pool water pH value is below 7.2, as determined by the use of a pH test kit, carefully distribute GLB pH Up while the pool pump is in operation into the deep end of the pool. Do not allow the pH to exceed 7.8 or cloudy water and scale formation may result.
