Directions

CAUTION!  NEVER Pre-Mix Green to Clean with any EPA-registered chlorine or other chemicals!  NEVER vacuum pool immediately after application!  NEVER add Green to Clean directly to the skimmer basket or filter suction line!  Maintain proper chemistry at all times.  Avoid concentrated contact with eyes.  For eyes, flush thoroughly with plenty of water.  If swallowed, call a physician immediately.  When not in use, keep container closed and dry.

  1. SHAKE WELL TO BREAK UP LUMPS (product lumping during transit is normal).  Clean DE or cartridge filters before proceeding (additional filter aid may be necessary with sand filters).  Determine the size of the pool in gallons.  Adjust chemical balance to pH 8.0+, alkalinity 80-120 ppm and cyanuric acid 25-75 ppm.  Use the EPA-registered chlorine instructions on adjusting the chlorine to 2-2.5 ppm.
  2. Add 2 lbs. of Green to Clean per 15,000 gallons of pool water (Green to Clean is not an algaecide by itself) directly into any type of pool.  Spread half the dose along the pool perimeter, starting where the algae buildup is the thickest.  Concentrate the rest directly over the problem area.  Never add more than the recommended dose.
  3. After adding Green to Clean, super-chlorinate the pool water using the directions on EPA-registered chlorine label for every 15,000 gallons.  Example: 2 lbs. per 15,000 gallons.  Add the chlorine directly over the Green to Clean.  Never add more of the EPA-registered chlorine than recommended.  Always follow the directions from your chlorine product's manufacturer.
  4. Circulate pool water for 24 hours using only the main drain, if possible.  Check pump valve setting and timer, disconnecting the off-timer if necessary.
  5. Super-chlorinate the pool water again twice after completing Step 3 (12 hours after and 24 hours after).  Use the amount of EPA-registered chlorine per label directions for every 10,000 gallons of pool water.  Example: after 12 hours, add 1 lb. per 10,000 gallons and then after 24 hours (total shock: 2 lbs. per 10,000 gallons).  Return equipment and chemical balance to normal after clean up.
