Directions
Consult your dealer for advice on water testing and proper water balance before beginning the Clear Comfort system.
Spring Start-Up: Before opening pool for the season, take a sample of your pool water to your dealer for a complete water analysis. Once your pool water has been properly balanced, add Clear Comfort Algaecide according to label directions. Add 1 gallon of Clear Comfort Clarifier per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Allow the water to circulate for 24 hours. Then adjust the Clear Comfort Sanitizer to 50 ppm.
Routine Maintenance: Once each month, add Clear Comfort Clarifier at a rate of 1 gallon per 10,000 gallons of pool water to maintain sparkling clear water. With the filter operating, pour Clear Comfort Clarifier directly into the water in several areas around the pool. Allow the treatment to circulate throughout the pool for at least 30 minutes before swimming. (Note: Excessive rain, high temperatures or heavy bather loads may require more frequent additions of clarifier. Consult your dealer for additional details.)
Clearing Cloudy Water: Improperly cleaned filters are the primary cause of cloudy water in Clear Comfort pools. Clean filter with Clear Comfort Filter Cleaner following label directions. (Note: For best results, filter should be cleaned every 6 weeks) Add clarifier at a rate of 2 gallons per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Use a filter aid to enhance clearing of cloudy water. If the condition persists, take a sample of your pool water to your dealer for future recommendations.
Winterizing: To winterize your pool, simply add Clear Comfort Algaecide and Clear Comfort Sanitizer according to label directions then add 1 gallon of Clear Comfort Clarifier per 10,000 gallons.
