Winter Shock Treatment:
**For white plaster pools, broadcast this product directly into the pool water. For vinyl, fiberglass, painted and color plaster pools pre-dissolve the recommended dose.**
1. Dissolve this product outdoors in a clean plastic bucket stirring with a clean plastic or wooden spoon. Add this product to water, never add water to this product.
2. Never add more than 1 pound of this product to less than 3 gallons of cool water. Do not mix with other products when pre-dissolving.
3. Before treating the pool, chemically balance the water and adjust pH to between 7.4 to 7.6.
4. Brush and vacuum pool. Backwash the filter and clean skimmer, pump baskets, and filter.
.5. Sprinkle the powder or pour pre-dissolved dose into the water around the edges of the pool. Use 1 pound per 10,000 gallons of water.
6. Circulate water for several hours, then apply Winter Algicide following its directions. Turn off pump. Drain equipment or add a swimming pool antifreeze to equipment to prevent any damage.
7. Install pool cover.
8. A second treatment may be needed if non-covered or using mesh covers prior to water freezing. If required, pre-dissolve dose and pour along pool edges.
*Reentry into the pool is prohibited above levels of 3 ppm chlorine due to risk of bodily injury.
Winter Algaecide
1. For an initial application or when pool water is changed, use 1 quart per 25,000 gallons of pool water.
2. For maintenance, use 1 ounce per 5,000 gallons of pool water. After any heavy rain, add 1 ounce per 5,000 gallons of water in addition to the above amounts.
3. The appropriate amount of this algaecide should be poured directly into the pool. More rapid distribution will be achieved by pouring a little of the specified amount into several areas of the pool. Recirculation or swimming activity will assure rapid dispersion.
Winter Anti Stain
1. Slowly add this product into a clean plastic bucket filled with hot water. For pre-dissolving, add 8 ounces to 2 gallons of hot water.
2. Stir until the bulk of the powder is dissolved. With the pump running, pour the solution slowly into the skimmer.
3. Allow the pool to circulate for 30 minutes. Continue with the winterization of the pool by applying Winter Shock followed by Winter Algicide. Read and follow these products individual directions for proper use.
